OC Events won the B to B Category at the ESA European Sponsorship Awards in 2008 for the iShares Cup. In 2006, the company captured three Hollis Sponsorship awards for Ellen MacArthur's B&Q campaign.

Changing the way sailing is seen... in Europe and Asia

FOR THE FIRST TIME, CLOSE-COMBAT RACING IS BROUGHT TO THE PUBLIC, and venues are carefully selected in order for the spectators to be as close as possible to the action taking place on the water.

The Extreme Sailing Series brings together some of the world's best skippers - round the world sailors, world champions, olympic medallists - racing against each other on identical high-tech catamarans. Sailing on the edge! A "5th man" spot is available aboard each boat during each race... so VIP guests and journalists can experience the excitement firsthand and get a white-knuckle ride in actual competitive situations.

BT Team Ellen

A team, and a vision

TEAM ELLEN WAS AN INNOVATIVE CONCEPT, COMPRISING THREE SAILORS - ELLEN MACARTHUR. Sébasiten Josse and Nick Moloney supported by a pool of dedicated professionals made of shore crew and media experts.

The team had set objectives both on the sporting front and in terms of communication, Ellen MacArthur playing the role of an agent for change, promoting the power of communications and technology - BT's core activities - to help create a more sustainable world. Operating in different sailing disciplines and capitalising on a strong message, BT Team Ellen members have opened new perspectives in terms of media coverage and B2B opportunities.

The Artemis Transat

Breaking new ground since 1960

THE ARTEMIS TRANSAT IS THE HEIR OF THE OLDEST SINGLEHANDED TRANSATLANTIC RACE, THE OSTAR, which shaped modern offshore racing, defining the sport as it stands today.

First run in 1960, that iconic event has been acquired by OC Events in 2004 and renamed The Transat before becoming The Artemis Transat four years later, confirming its historic status by proving a success both on and off the water. More than 150 000 people visited the race village at the heart of Plymouth, turning the race into a wide-audience event for the first time in its 50-year history!

Oman Sail

Reigniting heritage and opening new territories

OC GROUP HAS HELPED SETUP AND PROVIDES CONSULTANCY WORK FOR THE OMAN SAIL INITIATIVE, whose aim is to rekindle Oman's long and glorious maritime heritage. Just over a year after its launch, the campaign has already achieved great successes, flying the Sultanate's flag non-stop around the planet aboard the Musandam trimaran, and winning the highly competitive iShares Cup Extreme Sailing Series. Oman Sail's new flagship, the A100 trimaran Majan built under the supervision of the Offshore Challenges Sailing Team, is opening the Gulf region to modern competitive sailing.

Artemis Ocean Racing

Fostering British offshore racing talent

FROM MINI TO 60', THE ARTEMIS OCEAN RACING TEAM BRINGS TOGETHER BRITISH SAILORS and technicians from different horizons, sharing their wealth of experience and helping each other achieve their goals.

Artemis Ocean Racing aims to create the conditions for the emergence of a stronger British force on the international short-handed ocean racing scene, with core values such as knowledge sharing, mutual motivation, solidarity and hard work. OC Group has been providing expertise, consultancy work and team management to the structure since 2009.

Affiliated Charity

We proudly support the Ellen MacArthur Trust, who take young people aged 8-18 sailing to help them regain their confidence, on their way to recovery from cancer, leukemia and serious illnesses.
